Easter This Year (2020)

Easter this Year
we stay home
with breakfast and a laptop
for Easter Sunday service

Easter this year
we stay home
with lunch for three
with no other family members

Easter this year
we stay home
when we go out
keep social distancing

Easter this year
we stay home
with special hope
no more Covid-19 patients reported

Easter this year
we stay home
with special prayers
for the nation, the world, and the front line teams

Easter this year
we stay home
hoping something special happen
God will show us another rainbow

Amen!

Easter This Year (2018)

Image may contain: food
Easter This Year

My Easter this year will be different
No colored eggs
Or decorated eggs,
Just deep-felt love
For Christ, so dear.

My daughter's Easter this year will be different
No Easter basket
Full of fluff,
No jelly beans
And other stuff.

My husband's Easter this year will be different
No Kit-Kat, no m & m's
Or other Easter chocolates
He likes
On the table in the living room

Our Easter this year will be different
No Will
No Fran
No Em
Sitting around the dinning table together

Our Easter this year will be the same
We'll go to church
Pray and sing Alleluia!
Listen to the message
He's risen!

Our Easter this year will bring hope
For me
For my husband
For my family
For brighter future

Thank you God
For your love
For your sacrifice
For your promise
And for your blessings.

Amen!

POEMS: Welcome Back to School

For my Freshman, August 27, 2018

Hip-hip horray!
I'm in the first day of Intermediate High School today
Excited and nervous

I could not wait to get ready soon
after my alarm rang at 6 AM
Having breakfast at 6.30 AM
and waiting for the school bus coming at 6.45 AM

My mom already left to work
My dad is getting ready for work
And I am working on my appearance
I want to look nice on my first day of school

In the bus I took a seat by myself at the front.
Everybody was so quiet.
No talk, no laugh, no smile
and I was busy with my own thought.

When I came back from school
My mom asked me so many questions.
And I only had one response,
"Mama, I had a good day at school."

POEMS: Welcome Back to School

Hip-hip horray!
I'm in the first day of Middle School today.
Excited and nervous.

I could not wait to get ready soon
even though it was still at 5 AM.
Having breakfast at 5.30 AM
and waiting for the school bus coming at 7 AM.

My mom got mad.
I woke up too early.
Made her wake up too early, too.
She said tomorrow I had to set up the alarm at 5.45 AM
instead of 5 AM.

In the bus I took a seat by myself at the front.
Everybody was so quiet.
No talk, no laugh, no smile
and I was busy with my own thought.

When I came back from school
My mom asked me so many questions.
But I only had one response,
"Mama, I could not open my locker."

HAIKU (White Lilies & Butterfly)

WHITE LILIES

Blooming white lilies
Arranged on the pots nicely
Caught our both eyes

A sign of spring comes
Time to celebrate the joy
Time of gardening

Fragrant white lilies
Arranged on the pots sweetly
Caught our sinned heart

Sign to remember
The winning of life from sin
Wiped till shiny white

BUTTERFLY

Fly-fly butterfly
You won't reach into the sky
No words of "Bye-bye"

Land to my petals
Spread your wings and rest nicely
It's your home sweet home

Come-come butterfly
Don't miss lot of sweets I have
Source of food you need

Valentine Poetry

Several days before Valentines Day, I wrote 3 poets at an online Indonesia news, www.kabarindonesia.com. I had chosen one of them to my husband as a Valentines Gift. Below is one of the poets I had chosen to write it on a sweet valentines card that I had given it to him.
MY SOUL-MATE
my soul-mate is a half of my soul
a half of my life
a wing of my single wing
so we can fly perfectly
when I am down
he will be down
when I rise
He will rise
wherever I go
he will be there for me
whenever I need him
he will be always at my side
when the suffering unsheathes me
he is my comfort
when crying attacks me
he is my arm-rest
when the sadness comes
he is my support
when the happiness approaches me
he is my joyful
I know he is not perfect
his pluses and minuses
good and bad
I accept and love him
as the way of he is
Do you want to know what the response I got from him?... A kiss and a great confession flied on my right cheek. He said, "I love the gift that comes from the heart. I want to cry everytime I read that poetry. Thank you, Honey. It was the best valentine gift I ever had." (*)

Christian Poetry: My Wings

I can fly so far and high
If my wings aren't broken
I can kick the hurricane

If my wings are so strong
I can pass the ocean
If my wings have the horse power
Who can oppose me?
If my wings are the gallant wings
They can kick the hurricane and pass the ocean
Who is my opponent?
If my wings can not be competed
They can cruise the ocean
My wings are my strength symbol

I can be weak
Just because of the nature power
I would not have the strength
If The Owner wants it
My wings depends on HIM

POEM: My Freedom

my freedom is
when I feel free
to say 'yes' or 'no' without forcing
my freedom is
when I feel free
to stride here and there
without chasing
my freedom is
when I feel free
to run reaching my end goal
without 'in other person's way'
my freedom is
when I feel free
to express my thought for goodness
my freedom is
when I feel life
as I am on my existent
without imitation polished
beautiful outside but rotten inside
my freedom is
when I feel no pressure
enjoying my right I own
without duty careless
without breaking the rules
without hurting the others
respect to the others
respect in diversity
support the hopeless
support the goodness
hugging the free-less
love to others without intend

POEM: I See My Life

in my life
sometimes
it doesn't look like what I want
it doesn't look like what I wish
and
it doesn't look like what I need
sometimes
disappointed shadows
make me like a little child
who needs a hug and attention
feeling spoiled
feeling saved
You attend at the right time
hugging me lovely
teaching me softly
lacing my life beautifully
You come with Your love
the true love I ever have
don't ever leave me
stay with me
hug me warmly and softly
love me tenderly and deeply
I feel saved in You
I feel comfortable in You
I feel confident in You
You are my only Hope

POEM: Shadow

I don't want you following me
but you're still there
you don't care
I don't want you imitating me
but you still do it
you don't care
you're just quite
when I say something
no sound
no expression
when I touch you
you're there
you don't touch me back
why?
you should touch me back
but you don't
are you shy?
but you still follow me
you still imitate me
you bother me
you're still there
you don't care
I think you just want to be like me
following me
imitating me
are they fun?

POEM: Father

MY  FATHER

in the morning you have left
in the evening you have come home
in the night you always pray
never gets tired, that's what I remember
never gives up, that's what I see
discipline strongly, that's what I follow
gives me the spirit for learning continually
sharpens the brain for the future
gives me the direction in action
speaks from 'a' to 'z' in advising
what enormous you are
I know he is just a human being
who has pluses and minuses
one thing I always know
there are no 'tired' words to effort
all he does, are for the family
I respect him and I love him

POEM: Hope

When the trials come in my life
I should ask, "Why?"
But I don't
Cause I know He permits them
When the trials come in my life
I should say, "I am tired"
But I don't
Cause I know He examines me
When the trials come in my life
I should scream, "No!"
But I don't
Cause I know He values every step I have made
When the trials come in my life
I should run away
But I don't
Cause they never go away
When the trials come in my life
I should not care
But I don't
Cause they are the part of my life
When the trials come in my life
I just say, "Please, help me!"
"Please, give me the strength to face it!"
"Please, give me Your hand to lift me up!"
"I can not stand without You"
"Please, don't go!" "Be with me!"
When finally I see the sun rises
I know what He means
I know what He has planned
He wants me becomes better and better
As a candle, a light giver
Then I hear He says, "Well done, My child"
"Peace be with you"

POEM: Clock

tick tock tick tock
hand of clock is moving
tick tock tick tock
counting the seconds

tick tock tick tock
time is changing
tick tock tick tock
changing the day

tick tock tick tock
going forward
tick tock tick tock
showing the life time

tick tock tick tock
it is the sound of time
tick tock tick tock
going forward never backward

tick tock tick tock
there is on the wall
tick tock tick tock
it will stop on its time

POEM: Rock of Life

I put my hands up to You
holding Your hands tightly
I lay my body down on You
feeling Your comfort nicely
I stand my feet on You
reaching Your support straightly

I am strong and not weak
when I stand on You
my Rock of Life

I still stand perfectly
between storm and thunder
because
I stand on You
my Rock of Life

POEM FOR MY HUSBAND: 8th Anniversary Poem

This post is special for my husband. To celebrate our 8th Anniversary today, I would like to give him a special gift, an Anniversary Poem:

The Garden of Love

The beauty of our garden is always changing
With the weather and the season
They give a splendor in each moment
Viewing its beauty in its own way

In the spring, the Daffodils are blooming
In the summer, the Honeysuckles have party with the butterflies and hummingbirds
In the autumn, the backyard is decorated with the colorful leaves
In the winter, the plants are covered with the white snow

In the morning when sunshine is rising
All vegetations are ready to be filled
In the night when the moonlight is appearing
We still can't see the beauty of our garden in the dark

Rainy days, sunny days, snowy days and stormy days
Which the best day they will choose
They won't . . . they can't choose
They just can accept

The garden of our love is as same as our garden
Through rainy days and sunny days
Through snowy days and stormy days
We've stayed together as husband and wife

Happy anniversary, my dear husband
With you at my side in any of our condition
every experience is sweet
because we face it together

2010 Birthday Gift

My birthday gift
the most special
a surprise gift
I expected

Little tiny
head and body
toes and fingers
soft and dark hair

My birthday gift
will be brought soon
to my real world
in next nine months

Now he or she
misterious
still in my womb
warm and secure

Cry is the sign
the gift of life
the gift of mine
the happiness

To My Mom in Heaven

Mom, I have something to tell you
three words I never say to you
three words that stay so long in my heart
"I love you"

Mom, I need to tell this to you
something that I always dream about
something that I need to do
"I want to hug you"

Mom, I want to tell this to you
about my expression
about my appreciation
"Thank you for bringing me to this world"

Let them blow in the air
bring them to you
keep them in your soul
From your daughter on the earth

POEM: Easter Light

Easter Light
I see the cross
there is a deep darkness
nobody wants to come

I see the empty grave
there is a life
everybody is looking for

His resurrection is a sign
there is no darkness
but lightness

Everybody who believes in Him
can come to meet His Father
without any condition
only trust in Him
live in Him
follow His path
nothing we have to pay
it is free
because He had paid full for us
with His blood and love

Happy Easter!

Summer Fun

When sun shines hot
Head burns like fire
Warm body sweats
Brownie baked skin

There people hate
Many don’t like
Stay inside cool
No hot, no sweat

But let us see
Other people
Under the sun
Swim and enjoy

But let us see
Other people
Grill yummy foods
Sweet tasty corns

But let us see
Fun kids giggles
In swimming suits
Splash in water
